Erhard Msanda is married to Enna who is also a teacher at the Herring Christian Secondary School at Chimala Mission. Both Erhard and his wife love teaching and taking care of children.
Erhard has been a teacher since 2002, teaching at the Chimala Mission Primary School from 2002 to 2005, also serving as Academic Dean and Assistant Head teacher. Although he moved to one of the secondary schools in Mbeya town in 2006, in May 2009 Erhard returned to Chimala Mission to finish the procedures of registering and officially opening Herring Christian Secondary School. The secondary school started in January 2010, and Erhard was the first headmaster and has served in that position until the present. As headmaster, he is responsible for making sure the teaching-learning process is done efficiently in a conducive environment.
